In 1999 Cosina's CEO Mr. Kobayashi revived the name of Voigtlander, one of the favorite cameras of his youth,  by introducing the Cosina made Voigtlander Bessa L, 15/4.5 Super-Wide Aspherical Heliar, and 25/4 Snapshot Skopar, all in Leica Screw Mount.  Many "photo experts" viewed the new Voigtlander line with much scoffing and skepticism.   Since that time, Voigtlander has gone on to become the largest new 35mm interchangeable lens rangefinder camera lineup in current production.  Cosina Voigtlander also made 35mm photo history in 2002 by becoming the only camera manufacturer ever to manufacture rangefinder cameras in ALL FOUR major classic rangefinder mounts: Leica Screw Mount, Leica M mount, Nikon Rangefinder, and classic Zeiss Contax Rangefinder mount (not G series). 

This is CVUG: the Cosina Voigtlander User's Group mailing list for ALL Cosina made Voigtlander products, as well as the same product sold under the Cosina nameplate including: Voigtlander Bessa L, T, R, R2, R2S, R2C, the Bessaflex TM,  all accessories for same, all Voigtlander rangefinder lenses in Leica screw mount, M mount,  Nikon rangefinder mount , Cosina made Voigtlander SLRs and SLR lenses, as well as all future Cosina Voigtlander products.

• Email diarrhea: Some lists are occasionally "attacked" by overzealous members who think they must respond to practically every post.  Please limit your postings to no more than five per day.  

• Witty replies: Some lists have members under the delusion that everyone subscribed to read their often ill conceived attempts at humor and quick repartee.   Please save smart-ass replies for private email, or the stage if you really are a comedian. 

• Selling and Buying: Private sellers or buyers may post their ads any day, but limit your ads to once per week.   Dealer for sale or buying posts of any kind of ads are not allowed,   a standard which I will also follow.   If you have questions about something for sale or wanted, email the person privately instead of posting your question to the list.
