Use SLR wide angles on your Leica Rangefinder.
Mount Leica R, Nikon F, Canon FD, Pentax 42, Contax/Yashica lenses on Leica M or Leica Screw mount bodies! Perfect to use SLR wide angles on your Leica, infinity focus, no glass to degrade image.
Pictured here are the Nikon F to Leica M and Leica Screw Mount adapters. OF course the LTM adapters also work fine on any Leica Copy, including Canon, Nicca, and the new Voigtlander. The LTM adapters can also be used on your M, with the LTM to M adapter.
These are new, very well made adapters to use Nikon F mount lenses (manual or AF) on Leica M or Leica Screw Mount. There is no rangefinder coupling, but TTL metering is maintained. Of course you can add a bayonet adapter to the Nikon - Screw mount adapter and use that on your M too.
Why use it? To increase your system's versatility, reduce investment. Wide angles are very usable without the rangefinder coupling due to their great depth of field. Just use scale focusing on the focusing mount, and you will seldom find yourself out of focus. If you have a 18, 20, 24, or 28 in your Nikon bag that you are happy with, do you really need to spend the extra bucks to get one in Leica mount? In use the adapter snaps on with precision, though I do wish the spring on the Nikon release was a bit stronger.
Shown is the 35-200 Nikkor zoom on the M6. A tele zoom on your M6 is more usable than you might think, providing you limit your shooting to infinity and your apertures to f/8 and smaller. Leica never made a 200 to attach directly to its RF bodies, but you can with this adapter.
Pentax 42mm / Leica R / Canon FD / Contax/Yashica to Leica M or Screw Mount
The Pentax 42mm adapters have a ridge inside the adapter which stops down the lens, making the adapter usable on any make 42mm screw mount lens. Without that ridge, most non Pentax lenses without a stop down switch would not be usable since the aperture is spring loaded open. Unlike some screw mount adapters, this adapter does not interfere with the open aperture metering lug on the rear of Fujica screw mount lenses.

Adapted SLR Lenses are not rangefinder coupled, focus by the distance scale. With the immense depth of field of wide angle lenses, scale focusing is easy.
