Camera Dealers
Luigi Crescenzi's LeicaTime.com in Rome is one of the best of the European rare camera dealers. Often he has rarities which are very seldom found in the US, very knowledgeable and a nice guy.
Don Chatterton is a true Leica expert and one of the nicest people in the camera business
Pacific Rim is run by self described twin brothers Mike and Dale. It's an excellent site with lots of collectibles.
BPW Limited is owned by fellow Los Angeles camera buff Brian Wolfe. He has a nice stock of hard to find collectible and user equip.
Online Camera Exchange is run by my pals Axel and Yvonne who have a eye out for the unusual--which they often find in the strangest places.
Foto Henny Hoogeveen Dutch photographer, collector, dealer. In Dutch, but Duncan speaks English.
Historical or Camera Collectors Sites
Nikon Historical Society, founded by Robert Rotoloni, site maintained by Fred Krughoff. Superb quarterly magazines. I'm one of the original members, strangely enough from before it was founded, when it was known as the Nikon Collector's Newsletter --- before Robert took it over.
Buena Park California Camera Show -- the largest monthly camera show in the US, near Disneyland, south of Los Angeles
Classic Camera Magazine: in my opinion the BEST monthly magazine published today for the Camera collector.
Chicago Photographic Collector's Society, one of America's largest photographic organizations
LHSA, the Leica Historical Society of America - an excellent organization which publishes a great quarterly magazine, the Viewfinder. Join it !
Miranda: if it's not Carmen, visit Mirandacamera.com This is an excellent site on an often over-looked SLR, the 1st Japanese 35mm SLR with a pentaprism.
Minox Historical Society: devoted to the best of all the subminiature cameras
Pentax the place to go is Fred Sherfy's great site.
The Sub Club is a wonderful site devoted to Subminiature Photography
Topcon Story by Marco Antonetto, author of the Topcon Story. Topcon had the first production 35mm TTL meter in 1963, fine optics, and a pro quality system. A second part of Marco's site covers the notable early Italian 35mm SLR Rectaflex.
Zeiss Historica Site -- new site of a great collector's group, join if you like Zeiss or photographic history
Manufacturers
Tom Abrahamsson's RapidWinder.com -- Tom is the manufacturer and inventor of the Rapidwinder for Leica M and screw mounts, as well as the Softrelease and MiniSoftrelease shutter release buttons.
Leica -- A well done site with lots of info on Leica's latest products. For all practical purposes the inventor of 35mm photography as we know it, Leica is considered by many to make the best 35mm lenses, bar none.
