New Editions of Nikon Digital eBooks

D1 eBook enters 3rd Edition, D100 eBook now in 2nd.

Nikon's recent firmware updates and changes to software seemed as good a reason as any to roll up all the corrections, additions, and changes that I had pending and put them into new editions:

• Complete Guide to the D1, D1h, and D1x, 3rd Edition (330 pages). This eBook has been extensively reworked. Virtually every page has been tweaked in some way as I put my 18+ months of D1 experience into ensuring the accuracy of every detail and took another long editing pass at the entire manuscript. The D1x buffer upgrade, the 1.1/5.1 firmware upgrades, Nikon View 5.1.14 and Capture 3.5, and all the other new stuff is here, too. Typography in the flash section was improved. New sections have been added on flash, custom curves, printing on Frontiers and more. This new edition is 80 pages longer than the already expanded 2nd Edition! • Complete Guide to the D100, 2nd Edition (279 pages). The recent 2.0 firmware update and changes to Nikon View and Capture made it worth incorporating those things into the eBook, and since I was already doing it for the D1 book... Changes in this eBook are less extensive and quite modest, though I did add a short section on custom curves, expanded a couple of other minor areas, and corrected all known mistakes. So you bought an earlier edition and want a new version, what do you do? You order an update! For those that are wondering, yes, I'll continue this policy of offering low-cost updates for the duration of each eBook's lifespan. I fully intend to keep updating my eBooks as I learn more about each camera. That's one of the nice things about publishing electronically, actually. You and I don't have to settle for outdated, uncorrected books living on in perpetuity.
