Water and Rock, Capitol Reef National Park, UT. D100, Nikkor 12-24mm DX,
RAW.
The 12-24mm restores a working wide angle zoom to those of us
who shoot with 1.5x change of view cameras (D100, D1 series,
S2 Pro, etc.). In Nikon tradition, it's a sharp, flexible lens
(review coming shortly). |

2004 Predictions
With
Nikon scooping one of my predictions for next year (see next),
I've decided to post an early version of my
2004 Predictions.
Nikon
Consumer DSLR in 2004
Update:
Nikon has made it official, announcing that they're going
to announce a consumer DSLR in Spring 2004. It'll be called
the D70, and the first pictures of it show that the guess
that it will be built on the N75 base is probably correct
(note the infrared remote sensor on the front of the body
and the displaced depth of field preview button).
Holiday
Book Orders
It's
that time again. Orders received by 5pm EST on December 20th will
be shipped on December 21st and likely show up by Christmas in
the US (International customers should order by December 14th).
Due to my travel schedule, any order received after December 20th
will not be shipped in 2003, but will be shipped beginning
on January 5th, 2004. Please plan accordingly. I do expect to have
the Kodak Pro 14n book available shortly and in time for Christmas,
but the D2h book is likely to wait until 2004 at this point.

It won't cost you a penny. But each time you start your Amazon shopping
from the above banner Amazon.com pays me a small referral fee, which
helps pay for maintaining this site. Thanks to all of you who've
done this in the past. Your support has allowed me to concentrate
on providing timely and accurate information for Nikon users instead
of chasing after advertising support.
