  Nikon Speedlight SB-17

A variant of the SB-15 designed specifically for the F3 and TTL flash metering, the SB-17 replaces the SB-12. It provides TTL control of flash exposure and was introduced in 1983.

Key Features: TTL flash control with the F3 (also can be used with most other Nikon bodies with appropriate coupler); two-aperture automatic flash. Head can be rotated through an arc of 180 degrees (click stops every 90 degrees), and tilted to 90 degrees (click stops at 15, 30, 60, and 90 degrees). Supplied accessory SW-6 wide angle adapter for 28mm lens coverage. The SB-17 can synchronize with up to five additional off-camera flashes. Four frame motor drive capability (up to 3.8 fps).
