  Nikon Speedlight SB-23

Introduced in 1988, the SB-23 is a compact, light, simple-to-use TTL flash designed primarily for the F-501/2020, F-401/N4004, F-301/N2000, FA, FE2, and FG. While the SB-23 has a limited range, no zoom head, and a severely limited aperture selection in program (P) mode, it also features a fast recycle time and an operational simplicity that’s easy to master. The SB-23 is a good choice for F-301/N2000, F-401/N4004, and F-501/N2020 users, plus a usable basic or backup flash for later bodies.
